iFix™ Interference Screws

iFix is manufactured using polyetheretherketone (PEEK™), a non-absorbable polymer that is highly biocompatible, biomechanically strong and radioulucent. PEEK has vast, proven success as a popular choice for spinal implant materials and combined with the iFix Systems unique design is an ideal solution for ACL fixation.

The iFix System offers interference screws of various sizes as well as a disposable procedure kit to further expedite procedural time.

The iFix System is able to provide surgeons with the following solutions addressing the unmet needs of current interference screw systems:

  • Radiolucency; unlike its metallic competitors, PEEK technology provides clear imaging. The absence of artifact allows surgeons to easily view surrounding anatomy on MRIs and X-rays.
  • Strong, Rigid Fixation; the iFix technology provides superior strength to graft fixation without the concern of graft failure or breakage during insertion common with bio-absorbable screws.
  • Ideal modulus; PEEK-Optima® polymer is a superior match to bone modulus, which minimizes stress shielding and provides an optimal environment for bone healing.
  • Unique Angled Tip, advanced design eliminates the need for tapping or tunnel notching before fixating graft with iFix Interference Screw.

PEEK™ is a trademark of Victrex, PLC.
PEEK-OPTIMA® is a registered trademark of Invibio Ltd.

The iFix Interference Screw is intended for use with bone tendon bone (BTB) grafts to provide fixation during arthroscopic or open ACL reconstruction procedures. Please consult product labels for indications, contraindications, hazards, warnings, cautions, and information for use.
